DO I NEED TO PROVIDE ANY SUPPLIES?
No. Purple Carrot provides everything to perform a full service clean, from our hand-crafted natural cleaners to brushes, sponges, microfiber cloths, mops, commercial grade vacuums and everything in between. Please inform us if you would prefer that we use any of your natural cleaning supplies, and we will happily accommodate your request. Please note that Purple Carrot will not use bleach, harsh chemicals or any commercial cleaners upon request. Our goal is to provide a safe, naturally clean environment for you, your home, and us as well.
DO I NEED TO BE HOME?
Purple Carrot requests that you be home for the initial clean. If you will not be present after the initial clean, you may arrange with us a way in which we can enter your home, such as a spare key or garage door code.
MUST I DO ANYTHING TO PREPARE FOR A PROFESSIONAL CLEAN?
We do not require you to pick up household items or organize anything prior to a visit from Purple Carrot. However, if you wish to make our services more efficient and save a little time, please feel free to prepare your space as you see fit.
WHICH AREAS DO YOU SERVICE?
Purple Carrot covers up to a 10-mile radius from our downtown Asheville location. We serve areas such as Downtown, Montford, West Asheville, Kenilworth, etc. We do occasionally accommodate to homes that are further than 10 miles away if our schedule will allow it. Extra mileage fees do apply.
HOW DO YOU CHARGE FOR YOUR CLEANING SERVICES?
Purple Carrot charges by the hour per cleaner, not the job. We believe that this is the most honest way of pricing, as you are paying only for the hours actually worked. When providing estimates, we can give clients a few options based on their requests, such as the cost of a deep clean, the cost of weekly, bi-weekly or monthly maintenance cleans, as well as the option to set a budget and have our cleaner or our team get as much done as possible within that time frame. Many of our clients find it easy to make a list of priorities and have us focus on the areas that need the most attention when choosing this option.
HOW DO I PAY FOR PROFESSIONAL CLEANING SERVICES?
Purple Carrot requests that payment is made upon completion of your scheduled clean. We do require all first time cleans to be paid in cash. Once a regular cleaning service is scheduled, both cash or check are options of payment. In an attempt to keep the money that Purple Carrot generates within the local community, we do not accept credit cards at this time. If you won’t be home during your regularly scheduled clean, most of our clients find it easy to simply leave cash or a check made out to Purple Carrot Natural Cleaning.
For our business clients, we will gladly leave an invoice, which is required to be paid within one week’s time of the date the work was completed.
Failure to pay the invoice within one week’s time will result in an additional fee of 15% of the total bill for each day that the payment is late.
DOES PURPLE CARROT ACCEPT TIPS?
Just like in any service-based job, tipping is accepted and greatly appreciated. Tipping lets us know that you are pleased with the service we are providing and appreciate our time and effort.
WHAT IF I NEED TO RESCHEDULE OR CANCEL A CLEAN?
We request that you notify Purple Carrot via email at least 24 hours before your scheduled clean when rescheduling or canceling. If you need to reschedule, please inform us of a more convenient time and we will always do our very best to accommodate your needs. We urge clients to contact us via email in either of these situations, as it is the quickest and most reliable way to get a response from us.
Same Day Cancellation // No Show Fees: If a cleaning appointment is canceled less than 24 hours in advance, or if we are unable to enter your home, a cancellation fee of 50% of the total cost of the scheduled clean will be charged to reserve your spot for future cleans.
IF I HAVE PETS, DO I NEED TO SECURE THEM DURING CLEANING?
Purple Carrot is a pet-friendly cleaning service. We are experienced in working around and with our clients’ feathered and furry friends during cleans and while home or pet sitting. It is not necessary to keep your pets away while we clean.
DO YOU PROVIDE LAUNDRY SERVICES?
Purple Carrot does not provide laundry services. Our focus is to improve the look and feel of your home with our all natural products, which are hand-crafted in small batches. We do not wash, dry, fold or change linens.
ARE YOU OPEN DURING HOLIDAYS?
Purple Carrot is closed during all major holidays. If your regularly scheduled clean falls on a holiday, we will do our best to reschedule your clean to another day and time that is convenient for you during the same week.
